This policy explains how Nexgenius LLC, operating Meritely, handles information when you visit the website, request or purchase an academic review, create an account, upload coursework, communicate with us, or use the client dashboard.
1. Who controls your information
Nexgenius LLC operates Meritely and is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Our business address is 30 N Gould St, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801, United States.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details, including your name, email address and sign-in provider identifier.
- Review-request details, including work type, academic level, subject, page count, requested turnaround, rubric information and your stated review priorities.
- Files you upload after payment, such as your draft, presentation, assignment brief, rubric or supporting materials.
- Communications with Meritely, reviewers and support staff.
- Transaction records, such as the plan, price, payment status and Stripe transaction reference. Meritely does not store your complete payment-card number.
Information collected automatically
We may receive device, browser, IP address, timestamps, referring page, pages viewed, security events and essential cookie information needed to operate, protect and diagnose the service.
Information from other services
If you choose Google or Apple sign-in, the provider may send us your provider account identifier, name and email address according to the permissions shown during sign-in. Stripe sends us payment confirmation and transaction information.
3. How and why we use information
We do not use student coursework to train public generative-AI models. A human academic provides the final academic judgment. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. Who receives information
We disclose information only as needed to providers that help us operate Meritely, including qualified reviewers assigned to your request, hosting and storage providers, Stripe for payments, Google or Apple when you choose their sign-in service, communications providers, security and fraud-prevention providers, professional advisers, and authorities when legally required. These recipients may process information under their own policies or under contractual restrictions.
5. Academic files and confidentiality
Your academic files are restricted to personnel and reviewers who need access for the agreed review. Reviewers must handle materials confidentially and may not use them for unrelated purposes. Do not upload another person’s confidential material, unnecessary sensitive information, or content you are not permitted to share.
6. Retention
We retain account and transaction records while your account is active and as needed for tax, accounting, fraud prevention and dispute resolution. We aim to remove uploaded academic files from active systems within 90 days after the review is completed, unless you request earlier deletion or a legal, payment or support issue requires temporary retention. Residual encrypted backups may persist for up to 30 additional days. Review-request and support records may be retained for up to 24 months after completion, then deleted or de-identified unless law requires longer retention.
7. Security
We use access controls, encrypted transport, restricted file access, provider authentication, logging and operational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure. Contact us promptly if you believe your account or materials have been exposed.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information; a portable copy; restriction or objection to certain processing; or information about disclosures. California residents may also request the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, correction, deletion and information about collection and disclosure, and may not be discriminated against for exercising applicable rights. Because we state that we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is no sale or sharing to opt out of under this policy.
We may verify your identity before completing a request. Authorized agents may be required to provide proof of authority. Some information may be retained where an exception applies, including transaction, security, legal and academic-integrity records.
9. Cookies and analytics
Meritely uses essential storage and cookies for sign-in state, security, checkout continuity, preferences and the request flow. If non-essential analytics or advertising technologies are added, we will provide any consent or opt-out controls required by applicable law and update this policy.
10. Children
Meritely is intended for university students and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.
11. International use
Nexgenius LLC operates from the United States. If you use Meritely from another country, information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards.
12. Changes
We may update this policy as the service, providers or law changes. We will change the “last updated” date and provide additional notice when required.
